ULTRASOUND-GUIDED INJECTION
How to diagnose and tread a painful shoulder
The aim of this seminar is to explore the benefits of ultrasound-guided injection therapy in the treatment of painful conditions of the shoulder. The lecture will first address witch drugs can be used for shoulder infiltration and witch ultrasound-guided approaches are available for injection procedures. Next, the scientific evidence for and against injection therapy will be described for each shoulder pathology such as gleno-humeral arthrosis, sovraspinatus tendinosis, cuff tears, adhesive capsulitis, calcific tendinitis, bursitis and long head of biceps brachii tendinitis. A Live Practical demonstration will follow the lecture. This part of the course will point out the most useful ultrasound windows for studying the pathology of the shoulder. Finally, there will be a detailed description of the infiltration technique, from preparing the patient to selecting the instruments and choosing the access route.
HANDS-ON SESSION
This Shoulder Ultrasound Course provides participants with a focused, hands-on approach to identifying and analyzing the key anatomical structures of the shoulder, aiming to enhance diagnostic accuracy in shoulder pathologies. Moreover, the course will present the primary access points for ultrasound-guided injections of the shoulder.
